1智慧妇人建立家室,愚妄妇人亲手拆毁。 | 1Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands. |
2行动正直的敬畏耶和华,行事乖僻的却藐视他。 | 2He that walketh in his uprightness feareth the LORD: but he that is perverse in his ways despiseth him. |
3愚妄人口中骄傲,如杖责打己身,智慧人的嘴必保守自己。 | 3In the mouth of the foolish is a rod of pride: but the lips of the wise shall preserve them. |
4家里无牛,槽头干净;土产加多,乃凭牛力。 | 4Where no oxen are, the crib is clean: but much increase is by the strength of the ox. |
5诚实见证人不说谎话,假见证人吐出谎言。 | 5A faithful witness will not lie: but a false witness will utter lies. |
6亵慢人寻智慧却寻不着,聪明人易得知识。 | 6A scorner seeketh wisdom, and findeth it not: but knowledge is easy unto him that understandeth. |
7到愚昧人面前,不见他嘴中有知识。 | 7Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge. |
8通达人的智慧在乎明白己道,愚昧人的愚妄乃是诡诈。 | 8The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. |
9愚妄人犯罪以为戏耍,正直人互相喜悦。 | 9Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour. |
10心中的苦楚自己知道,心里的喜乐外人无干。 | 10The heart knoweth his own bitterness; and a stranger doth not intermeddle with his joy. |
11奸恶人的房屋必倾倒,正直人的帐篷必兴盛。 | 11The house of the wicked shall be overthrown: but the tabernacle of the upright shall flourish. |
12有一条路人以为正,至终成为死亡之路。 | 12There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. |
13人在喜笑中心也忧愁,快乐至极就生愁苦。 | 13Even in laughter the heart is sorrowful; and the end of that mirth is heaviness. |
14心中背道的必满得自己的结果,善人必从自己的行为得以知足。 | 14The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man shall be satisfied from himself. |
15愚蒙人是话都信,通达人步步谨慎。 | 15The simple believeth every word: but the prudent man looketh well to his going. |
16智慧人惧怕,就远离恶事,愚妄人却狂傲自恃。 | 16A wise man feareth, and departeth from evil: but the fool rageth, and is confident. |
17轻易发怒的行事愚妄,设立诡计的被人恨恶。 | 17He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated. |
18愚蒙人得愚昧为产业,通达人得知识为冠冕。 | 18The simple inherit folly: but the prudent are crowned with knowledge. |
19坏人俯伏在善人面前,恶人俯伏在义人门口。 | 19The evil bow before the good; and the wicked at the gates of the righteous. |
20贫穷人连邻舍也恨他,富足人朋友最多。 | 20The poor is hated even of his own neighbour: but the rich hath many friends. |
21藐视邻舍的,这人有罪;怜悯贫穷的,这人有福。 | 21He that despiseth his neighbour sinneth: but he that hath mercy on the poor, happy is he. |
22谋恶的,岂非走入迷途吗?谋善的,必得慈爱和诚实。 | 22Do they not err that devise evil? but mercy and truth shall be to them that devise good. |
23诸般勤劳都有益处,嘴上多言乃致穷乏。 | 23In all labour there is profit: but the talk of the lips tendeth only to penury. |
24智慧人的财为自己的冠冕,愚妄人的愚昧终是愚昧。 | 24The crown of the wise is their riches: but the foolishness of fools is folly. |
25作真见证的救人性命,吐出谎言的施行诡诈。 | 25A true witness delivereth souls: but a deceitful witness speaketh lies. |
26敬畏耶和华的大有倚靠,他的儿女也有避难所。 | 26In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. |
27敬畏耶和华就是生命的泉源,可以使人离开死亡的网罗。 | 27The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death. |
28帝王荣耀在乎民多,君王衰败在乎民少。 | 28In the multitude of people is the king's honour: but in the want of people is the destruction of the prince. |
29不轻易发怒的大有聪明,性情暴躁的大显愚妄。 | 29He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly. |
30心中安静是肉体的生命,嫉妒是骨中的朽烂。 | 30A sound heart is the life of the flesh: but envy the rottenness of the bones. |
31欺压贫寒的是辱没造他的主,怜悯穷乏的乃是尊敬主。 | 31He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor. |
32恶人在所行的恶上必被推倒,义人临死有所投靠。 | 32The wicked is driven away in his wickedness: but the righteous hath hope in his death. |
33智慧存在聪明人心中,愚昧人心里所存的显而易见。 | 33Wisdom resteth in the heart of him that hath understanding: but that which is in the midst of fools is made known. |
34公义使邦国高举,罪恶是人民的羞辱。 | 34Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people. |
35智慧的臣子蒙王恩惠,贻羞的仆人遭其震怒。 | 35The king's favour is toward a wise servant: but his wrath is against him that causeth shame. |
