1众子啊，要听父亲的教训，留心得知聪明。 | 1Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. |
2因我所给你们的是好教训，不可离弃我的法则。 | 2For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. |
3我在父亲面前为孝子，在母亲眼中为独一的娇儿。 | 3For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. |
4父亲教训我说：“你心要存记我的言语，遵守我的命令，便得存活。 | 4He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. |
5要得智慧，要得聪明，不可忘记，也不可偏离我口中的言语。 | 5Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. |
6不可离弃智慧，智慧就护卫你；要爱她，她就保守你。 | 6Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee. |
7智慧为首，所以要得智慧，在你一切所得之内必得聪明。 | 7Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. |
8高举智慧，她就使你高升；怀抱智慧，她就使你尊荣。 | 8Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. |
9她必将华冠加在你头上，把荣冕交给你。” | 9She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee. |
10我儿，你要听受我的言语，就必延年益寿。 | 10Hear, O my son, and receive my sayings; and the years of thy life shall be many. |
11我已指教你走智慧的道，引导你行正直的路。 | 11I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. |
12你行走，脚步必不致狭窄；你奔跑，也不致跌倒。 | 12When thou goest, thy steps shall not be straitened; and when thou runnest, thou shalt not stumble. |
13要持定训诲，不可放松；必当谨守，因为它是你的生命。 | 13Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life. |
14不可行恶人的路，不要走坏人的道。 | 14Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. |
15要躲避，不可经过，要转身而去。 | 15Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. |
16这等人若不行恶，不得睡觉；不使人跌倒，睡卧不安。 | 16For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. |
17因为他们以奸恶吃饼，以强暴喝酒。 | 17For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. |
18但义人的路好像黎明的光，越照越明，直到日午。 | 18But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. |
19恶人的道好像幽暗，自己不知因什么跌倒。 | 19The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. |
20我儿，要留心听我的言辞，侧耳听我的话语， | 20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. |
21都不可离你的眼目，要存记在你心中。 | 21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. |
22因为得着它的就得了生命，又得了医全体的良药。 | 22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. |
23你要保守你心，胜过保守一切，因为一生的果效是由心发出。 | 23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. |
24你要除掉邪僻的口，弃绝乖谬的嘴。 | 24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. |
25你的眼目要向前正看，你的眼睛当向前直观。 | 25Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. |
26要修平你脚下的路，坚定你一切的道， | 26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. |
27不可偏向左右，要使你的脚离开邪恶。 | 27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. |
