1书亚人比勒达回答说： | 1Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, |
2“你寻索言语要到几时呢？你可以揣摩思想，然后我们就说话。 | 2How long will it be ere ye make an end of words? mark, and afterwards we will speak. |
3我们为何算为畜生，在你眼中看做污秽呢？ | 3Wherefore are we counted as beasts, and reputed vile in your sight? |
4你这恼怒将自己撕裂的，难道大地为你见弃，磐石挪开原处吗？ | 4He teareth himself in his anger: shall the earth be forsaken for thee? and shall the rock be removed out of his place? |
恶人之祸患 | The scourge of evil people |
5“恶人的亮光必要熄灭，他的火焰必不照耀。 | 5Yea, the light of the wicked shall be put out, and the spark of his fire shall not shine. |
6他帐篷中的亮光要变为黑暗，他以上的灯也必熄灭。 | 6The light shall be dark in his tabernacle, and his candle shall be put out with him. |
7他坚强的脚步必见狭窄，自己的计谋必将他绊倒。 | 7The steps of his strength shall be straitened, and his own counsel shall cast him down. |
8因为他被自己的脚陷入网中，走在缠人的网罗上。 | 8For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he walketh upon a snare. |
9圈套必抓住他的脚跟，机关必擒获他。 | 9The gin shall take him by the heel, and the robber shall prevail against him. |
10活扣为他藏在土内，羁绊为他藏在路上。 | 10The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way. |
11四面的惊吓要使他害怕，并且追赶他的脚跟。 | 11Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall drive him to his feet. |
12他的力量必因饥饿衰败，祸患要在他旁边等候。 | 12His strength shall be hungerbitten, and destruction shall be ready at his side. |
13他本身的肢体要被吞吃，死亡的长子要吞吃他的肢体。 | 13It shall devour the strength of his skin: even the firstborn of death shall devour his strength. |
14他要从所倚靠的帐篷被拔出来，带到惊吓的王那里。 | 14His confidence shall be rooted out of his tabernacle, and it shall bring him to the king of terrors. |
15不属他的必住在他的帐篷里，硫磺必撒在他所住之处。 | 15It shall dwell in his tabernacle, because it is none of his: brimstone shall be scattered upon his habitation. |
16下边，他的根本要枯干；上边，他的枝子要剪除。 | 16His roots shall be dried up beneath, and above shall his branch be cut off. |
17他的记念在地上必然灭亡，他的名字在街上也不存留。 | 17His remembrance shall perish from the earth, and he shall have no name in the street. |
18他必从光明中被撵到黑暗里，必被赶出世界。 | 18He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world. |
19在本民中必无子无孙，在寄居之地也无一人存留。 | 19He shall neither have son nor nephew among his people, nor any remaining in his dwellings. |
20以后来的要惊奇他的日子，好像以前去的受了惊骇。 | 20They that come after him shall be astonied at his day, as they that went before were affrighted. |
21不义之人的住处总是这样，此乃不认识神之人的地步。” | 21Surely such are the dwellings of the wicked, and this is the place of him that knoweth not God. |
