1以色列是茂盛的葡萄树，结果繁多。果子越多，就越增添祭坛；地土越肥美，就越造美丽的柱像。 | 1Israel is an empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images. |
2他们心怀二意，现今要定为有罪。耶和华必拆毁他们的祭坛，毁坏他们的柱像。 | 2Their heart is divided; now shall they be found faulty: he shall break down their altars, he shall spoil their images. |
3他们必说：“我们没有王，因为我们不敬畏耶和华。王能为我们做什么呢？” | 3For now they shall say, We have no king, because we feared not the LORD; what then should a king do to us? |
4他们为立约说谎言，起假誓，因此灾罚如苦菜滋生在田间的犁沟中。 | 4They have spoken words, swearing falsely in making a covenant: thus judgment springeth up as hemlock in the furrows of the field. |
5撒马利亚的居民必因伯亚文的牛犊惊恐，崇拜牛犊的民和喜爱牛犊的祭司都必因荣耀离开它，为它悲哀。 | 5The inhabitants of Samaria shall fear because of the calves of Beth-aven: for the people thereof shall mourn over it, and the priests thereof that rejoiced on it, for the glory thereof, because it is departed from it. |
6人必将牛犊带到亚述当做礼物，献给耶雷布王。以法莲必蒙羞，以色列必因自己的计谋惭愧。 | 6It shall be also carried unto Assyria for a present to king Jareb: Ephraim shall receive shame, and Israel shall be ashamed of his own counsel. |
7至于撒马利亚，她的王必灭没，如水面的沫子一样。 | 7As for Samaria, her king is cut off as the foam upon the water. |
8伯亚文的丘坛，就是以色列取罪的地方，必被毁灭，荆棘和蒺藜必长在他们的祭坛上。他们必对大山说 “遮盖我们！”，对小山说 “倒在我们身上！”。 | 8The high places also of Aven, the sin of Israel, shall be destroyed: the thorn and the thistle shall come up on their altars; and they shall say to the mountains, Cover us; and to the hills, Fall on us. |

10我必随意惩罚他们！他们为两样的罪所缠，列邦的民必聚集攻击他们。 | 10It is in my desire that I should chastise them; and the people shall be gathered against them, when they shall bind themselves in their two furrows. |
11以法莲是驯良的母牛犊，喜爱踹谷，我却将轭加在它肥美的颈项上。我要使以法莲拉套，犹大必耕田，雅各必耙地。 | 11And Ephraim is as an heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods. |
12“你们要为自己栽种公义，就能收割慈爱。现今正是寻求耶和华的时候，你们要开垦荒地，等他临到，使公义如雨降在你们身上。 | 12Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you. |
13你们耕种的是奸恶，收割的是罪孽，吃的是谎话的果子。因你倚靠自己的行为，仰赖勇士众多， | 13Ye have plowed wickedness, ye have reaped iniquity; ye have eaten the fruit of lies: because thou didst trust in thy way, in the multitude of thy mighty men. |
14所以在这民中必有哄嚷之声，你一切的保障必被拆毁，就如沙勒幔在争战的日子拆毁伯亚比勒，将其中的母子一同摔死。 | 14Therefore shall a tumult arise among thy people, and all thy fortresses shall be spoiled, as Shalman spoiled Beth-arbel in the day of battle: the mother was dashed in pieces upon her children. |
15因他们的大恶，伯特利必使你们遭遇如此。到了黎明，以色列的王必全然灭绝。 | 15So shall Beth-el do unto you because of your great wickedness: in a morning shall the king of Israel utterly be cut off. |
